Alessandra Zonari, PhD, Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, earned her Master’s degree in stem cell biology, and her PhD in skin regeneration and tissue engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil in collaboration with the 3B’s Research Group in Portugal. Her Ph.D. work in skin regeneration was awarded “Best Thesis” by UFMG. Alessandra did a second post-doctoral at the University of Coimbra in Portugal.
In 2017 she joined the early team of OneSkin, where she dedicated her time to understanding the mechanism underlying the aging process and developing science-based solutions that can reverse the skin’s biological age. She is a co-inventor of five patents and has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals.
